What is Sydenham Woods ?

Originally a farm property,
the 135 acres that make up Sydenham Woods
provide nature trails, a common private beach and two community docks

Dock
as well as ample land and water to observe
the abundant bird and wildlife in the area.

Residents enjoy pleasant rambles
along part of the Cataraqui Trail,
which passes through the property,
Cataraqui Trail
or one of the many other walking paths on the common property.
Fall Walk

We operate a Maple Sugar-Bush
where we tap about 200 trees
and enjoy about 10 litres of maple syrup per family.
Some families raise chickens and geese.

Sydenham Woods (Sydenham Woods Christian Community - SWCC)
is also the common name for the Vacant Land Condominium
(officially Frontenac Vacant Land Condominium #65)
which owns the common property
and governs the day to day operations of the group.
We have a Board of Directors who meet to make decisions when needed
and we hold our Annual General Meeting
in June of each year.
